Selling property remotely
Living abroad does not prevent you from requesting an initial offer. Photos and documents can be shared remotely, and access to the property arranged separately. The notary confirms whether remote notarisation is suitable.
What to send us
- Send property details and your contact information
- Identify who can provide access for a viewing
- Agree the participants, identification and technical requirements with the notary
- Review the draft contract before the appointment
What to know before deciding
Remote notarisation uses the video and signing process arranged by the notary. Sending a document by email alone does not replace the notarial act. Check the current requirements in the Chamber of Notaries guidance.

What to check before the final agreement
Test your equipment and account for the time zone before confirming the appointment. Keep the office contact and latest draft available. If several people participate from different places, confirm everyone’s availability together. One participant’s technical problem can affect the entire timetable.
Arrange the keys and property handover separately. A local helper is not necessarily a transaction representative: clarify their tasks and any authority needed with the notary. Agree who records meter readings, photographs the condition and passes on the documents.
Frequently asked questions
When is the price final?
An offer based on photos and a description is preliminary. We confirm the final price after reviewing the necessary information and the condition of the property. Any newly discovered material issue is discussed before completion.
When can the transaction be completed?
The five-day target stated on the website assumes agreed terms and the necessary documents. The actual date also depends on the notary and the parties. We confirm the timetable and how the period is counted in the offer.
What information is needed for an offer?
Start with the address, property type, size, condition and photos if available. Tell us about known debts, mortgages, tenants and documentation issues. A desired price helps, but you can request an offer without knowing it.
